  • Is there an entry fee to participate?

Some of our competitions are free to enter unless stated otherwise. Please check the respective competition page for exact entry fees and free-entry eligibility.

  • How many entries can I submit for free?

Each participant can submit one entry for free. This can be any format such as a poem, essay, short story, flash fiction, or any other piece of writing.
Additional entries can be submitted at ₹199 per entry.
A participant may submit up to 10 entries for the Quarterly Edition.

  • What is the eligibility criteria for participating in The Paperweight Competitions?

Our competitions are open to all writers and creatives, regardless of age, background, or experience. Each contest may have its own additional guidelines, which will be clearly specified on the respective competition page.

  • Who are the judges?

For the Yearly Edition, entries are evaluated by internationally acclaimed authors and guest judges.
For the Quarterly Edition, submissions are reviewed by the Paperweight Editorial Team, a panel of four distinguished editors with strong academic and literary expertise.

  • Can I send multiple submissions for the same competition?

You may submit one free entry per competition. Additional entries can be added at ₹199 each, up to the specified limit. If multiple submissions are made, each will be evaluated individually.

  • When will the results be announced?

All results are announced 45 days after the final submission deadline. Once the review process is complete, winners and shortlisted entries will be revealed on our website and social platforms.

  • Where can I find the magazine?

Yearly Edition: Winning entries are published in our annual paperback magazine. A complimentary copy is shipped directly to each winner’s home, and the magazine is also available on major e commerce platforms.
Quarterly Edition: Published as a digital magazine on Amazon, with all winners receiving a free digital copy.

  • Do I retain the copyright to my work?

Yes, you retain full rights to your work. By submitting, you grant us permission to feature your entry across our magazine, website, or social platforms if it is shortlisted, published, or wins.

  • Do I get a trophy?

Yes. Winners of the Yearly Edition receive a trophy, a curated box of goodies, and an official certificate, sent directly to their mailing address.
